TMX Atrium
On August 3, 2011, TMX Group Inc., Canada's leading operator of exchanges and related services, announced that it acquired Atrium Network, a leading provider of high availability, cost effective, low latency network solutions in Europe and North America. TMX Atrium Network extends TMX Datalinx's connectivity solutions into Europe and expands its U.S. presence significantly. The combined connectivity and access points offer even greater value to current TMX Datalinx clients while increasing opportunities to offer capital markets connectivity solutions to a much broader audience. TMX Atrium clients will benefit from TMX Datalinx's global content strategy as well as its plans to provide access to all key marketplaces. The complementary capabilities offered by TMX Atrium and TMX Datalinx will enable current and future clients to benefit significantly from additional data content and from enhanced access to trading solutions. The global connectivity footprint that TMX Atrium offers will also provide a new channel for order flow into Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange and Montreal Exchange.

TMX Atrium delivers secure connectivity for the financial services community connecting buy-side firms, execution venues, exchanges, MTFs, ECNs, ATSs, clearing houses, CSDs, ISVs, brokers and market data providers. TMX Atrium has over 300 end data points on its network and covers 11 countries using 25 PoPs (points of presence).
TMX Atrium's connectivity approach is designed to enable fast scalable access to the TMX Atrium connectivity fabric. Once connected, clients can access multiple venues, services, brokers, buy-side firms, ISVs and market data vendors using the same connectivity link.
TMX Atrium's connectivity fabric is located at, or close to, the world's largest liquidity centres allowing clients to focus on their trading activities while relying on TMX Atrium for their connectivity requirements.
