TMX Group appoints Ronald Alepian as head of Marketing and Communications
June 29, 2009 (TORONTO) - TMX Group Inc. (TMX), has announced that Ronald Alepian has joined the company as Vice President, Marketing and Corporate Communications. Mr. Alepian will be a member of senior management and will have responsibility for marketing strategy, brand development, employee communications, media relations and public affairs.

Ronald will help us further strengthen our domestic leadership position, expand our international footprint and reinforce the competitive advantage of our brand," said Thomas Kloet, President and Chief Executive Officer of TMX Group.
Ronald spent close to a decade in the Montréal and Toronto offices of consulting firm National Public Relations, affiliated with Burson-Marsteller, where he worked on strategic assignments for some of the world's leading brands. He led financial and corporate communications at Bell Canada and its parent BCE Inc. from 2004 to 2007, managing communications around some of the largest transactions in Canadian business. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Global Communications and Corporate Marketing for Nortel, where he led global teams in North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle-East, China and the Asia-Pacific region.

Born and raised in Montréal, Ronald is a bilingual communications and marketing professional and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Concordia University and a Certificate in Management from McGill University. He will be headquartered in Toronto, and will also have a permanent office in Montreal.
