TSX Quantum XA™
TSX Quantum™ is TMX Group's proprietary trading engine for the Toronto Stock Exchange ("TSX"), TSX Venture Exchange ("TSXV") and TMX Select™. TSX Quantum was introduced in 2007 and was designed to provide world-class messaging capabilities and linearly scalable throughput with response times in the single digit millisecond range.
TMX Quantum XA is the next generation of our current Quantum equity trading platform to be launched in Q1 2012 on TMX Select, and in Q1 2014 on TSX and TSXV.
TMX Quantum XA is expected to offer a material improvement in performance resulting from our propriety hardware acceleration and network upgrade, representing a twenty-fold reduction in median latency over the current system to sub-100 microseconds on order executions.
TMX Quantum XA is designed to provide customers with improved trading performance in the form of
